Portraits - The experience

I learned that it's a lot easier to have a model to tell what do to, which way to pose, in which lighting opposed to things I have no control over. The one thing I had difficulty with on the shoot was the camera I had to work with. Now, some photographers will argue that the camera doesn't matter, but when you can't adjust the contrast and brightness on the camera and nothing you want to do with it works, I'd have to tell anyone who argues that to go jump in a lake (as my Grandpa would say).

I really enjoyed the direct and filtered light, though sometimes I had difficulty adjusting certain settings on my camera, for the most part, the photos turned out alright.

Next time, I'm going to use a different camera.

Portraits - outdoor shoot

I chose those picture first because of the emotional qualities, which are in my opinion, light, innocent and friendly. Otherwise, the formal qulities could've been stronger. The lighting could've been better, the angle; but I like it still.

Now this I chose because the pose of the model was great, I enjoyed the lighting in the photo and because of the foliage behind the model. Again, another sweet, friendly, welcoming photo :)

PRETTY FLOWERRSSS - Nature Shoot

Not my favorite picture in terms of lighting and/or filtered light, but I chose this due to the angle, depth and colors. PRETTY FLOWERRRRSSSSS!!!

I liked the lighting in this one a bit more, there's some more direct light and yeah.. haha, I'm at a loss for words. These are definitely my two favorite though.

Street Shoot - the shoot.

I really love the angle of this photo and the detail and texture of the steps on the stairs. The lines of the bars on the railing, steps and overall shape of the staircase I find really appealing.

I loved the structure of this building, so I had to capture it along with the piercing blue paint, though chipped and old, still beautiful and vibrant. The green shrubs and plants against the run down blue building also keep the color popping.

It as really difficult shootingin this area of New Westminster, because as interesting of an environment it was, it wasn't very active, therefore making it even more difficult for me to photograph complete strangers. The people I tried to take pictures of were seemingly grumpy people and some of them would walk away or turn their backs. Poo-poo heads :P

Street Shoot - my experience.

I found it really difficult being really intrusive and taking photos of people, so the few people I did get in photos were like, me creeping on them. Hahaha! I had a lot of difficulty with this, but tomorrow I shall be adding more photos to the collection and I will be less shy and keep a steady theme going. Yay!

Objects Shoot - Flowers and a Crown

I had liked this photo, but after editing it, I loved it. I adjusted the contrast and brightness of it, and I feel that it made the colors of the color of the shiny petals on this hair elastic really pop out a little more. I also felt that it gave it more emotional qualities, those being feelings of grace, femininity and beauty. Does that sound corny, or what?
